Good lighting is a part of an efficient mise en scene in regard to any event. It is very important to make it as luminous as a star but this doesn’t mean you need to spend a fortune on expensive light fixtures. String lights that are cheap and also easy to use can fulfill the purpose if used properly. You do need to create a vision and design before actually putting the lights because proper symmetry and alignment is necessary to create balance in the whole set up. They not only leave the venue sparkling but also make it extra romantic.

A canopy of stars

If you plan on setting the dinner tables outside, don’t leave the sky naked. Put a good amount of string lights horizontally to create a ceiling of string lights. Nothing can get dreamier than this! Make sure to leave them a bit loose in the middle to give the whole setup a raw look.

 

A tent of string lights

You want your setup to look like a universe of stars? Try this hack- you can literally make a tent by using string lights in an alfresco set up. Not only it looks surreal but your guests will be able to see the woods and there is absolutely no need to hide the gorgeous trees present in your venue with an old, boring tent.  For the walls, hang the string lights like curtains, preferably in a parallel manner.

Dreamy aisle

The aisle is the most important place so it needs to be well lit. Never leave the sides empty or the ceiling for that matter. The sided can be decorated with lanterns filled with string lights and small string lights can be hung from the ceiling along with garlands of flowers and leaves. It certainly looks like you are walking down the aisle of paradise.

Lit up alphabets

If you plan on getting customized alphabets for the entrance, you need to outline them with string lights. They will make up for a good spot for your guests to click pictures. Don’t forget to further decorate with loads of flowers and leaves.

Glowing branches

Twinkling alpine like branches are the perfect decoration pieces as they don’t take much spaces, give a wintery look and are really easy to make as well. They can be put at the sides of the entrance, the aisle or even next to dinner tables.
